System Requirements

 

Audio

Computer speakers, or a headset, are required for all courses with audio or audio/visual content. Courses that require computer speakers, or a headset, have in their course description either Type: Audio/PPT or Type: Audio/Video.

Computer Operating System

PC-based learners:

Required: Windows® 2000, XP Home, XP Pro, 2003 Server, Vista, or Windows 7

Macintosh®-based learners:

Required: Mac OS® X 10.4 (Tiger®) or newer

Printer

You will need a standard printer connected to your computer in order to print course certificates, course histories, and other documents related to your Continuing Education coursework.

Internet Connection

A high speed Internet connection (DSL or cable) is required for proper delivery and functioning of ACTIONED learning content. A dial-up Internet connection is not adequate for use of the ACTIONED Web site.

Software Applications

The following software applications are required in order to use this site.

You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader in order to access many ACTIONED courses. Adobe Acrobat Reader is free and can be downloaded from the Adobe Reader Download site. Be prepared to provide what operating system (i.e., Windows 2000, Windows XP, Vista, etc.) your computer is running and if you are on dial-up or broadband internet connection.

ACTIONED video courses utilize Adobe Flash Player content. In order to view these courses you may need to download and install the Adobe Flash Player. The Player is free and can be downloaded from the Adobe Flash Player Download site. Be prepared to provide what operating system (i.e., Windows 2000, Windows XP, Vista, 7, etc.) your computer is running and if you are on dial-up or broadband Internet connection.

Mozilla Firefox (1.0 final release and earlier)

  • Go to the Tools menu.

  • Select Preferences from the Edit menu.

  • Select Internet Options from the Tools menu.
