Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology, Inc. (JCAHPO)
JCAHPO is the leading professional association for educating and certifying ophthalmic allied health personnel. JCAHPO’s mission is to enhance the quality and availability of ophthalmic patient care by promoting the value of qualified allied health personnel and by providing certification and education. JCAHPO’s educational offerings include numerous regional and national CE programs; an e-learning Web site; publications; Webinars; training tools, including books and CDs; and an interactive computer Learning System®.

Association of Technical Personnel in Ophthalmology (ATPO)
ATPO represents all allied health personnel in the field of ophthalmology. ATPO encourages certification, offers national and regional continuing education programs, provides networking opportunities and communication with other members, and strives to enhance the image of ophthalmic medical personnel. ATPO also offers salary studies, certification exam preparation, newsletters, and CE credit articles.

American Society of Ophthalmic Registered Nurses (ASORN)
ASORN has been a leader in ophthalmic education for registered nurses and allied health team members since 1976. ASORN’s mission is to foster excellence in ophthalmic patient care while supporting the ophthalmic team through individual development, education, and evidence based practices. It provides venues for educational enrichment by sponsoring local, regional, and national seminars through the national organization and its local chapters. ASORN’s books and quarterly journal, Insight, offer extended learning activities that also cultivate a mindset to achieve.

Canadian Society of Ophthalmic Medical Personnel (CSOMP)
The Canadian Society of Ophthalmic Medical Personnel represents all allied health care personnel in ophthalmology working in Canada. The goals of CSOMP are to work in association with the Canadian Medical Association to accredit new ophthalmic programs in Canada, provide continuing education, and maintain a strong membership consisting of all Canadian ophthalmic medical personnel.

Ophthalmic Photographers' Society (OPS)
The Ophthalmic Photographers' Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to a highly specialized form of medical photography pertaining to the field of ophthalmology. The main objectives of the Society are to provide primary and continuing education in the field of ophthalmic imaging, to set and maintain standards for the profession through a multi-level certification program, and to promote scientific advancement in the technology. The members of the Ophthalmic Photographers' Society perform photography of all structures of the eye using highly specialized equipment. They are healthcare professionals who increase the level of care to patients and help to advance the science of ophthalmology.

American Society of Ophthalmic Administrators (ASOA)
Founded in 1986, the American Society of Ophthalmic Administrators is the premier organization for the business side of the ophthalmic practice. Serving physicians, administrators, managers, and other practice and clinic staff, its mission is to advance the skills and professionalism of ophthalmic practice management. ASOA’s tagline expresses it best - Focusing on the BUSINESS of Ophthalmology.

OUR COURSES
The ACTIONED Web site offers courses at basic, intermediate, and advanced levels, with new courses added regularly. ACTIONED courses feature current topics and state-of-the-art technology such as:
· Interactive simulation
· Downloadable audio
· Audio/video
· Downloadable text
· Web-based seminars
Most ACTIONED courses include a quiz or assessment as the final component of an activity. Upon completion of the quiz, you will receive feedback on your results and have an opportunity to print a continuing education credit certificate for your records.
To access, or ‘unlock’ the quiz, you must first complete the course evaluation. After completing and submitting all the evaluation questions, you must close the evaluation window in order to trigger the ‘unlock’ mechanism for the quiz.
ASSESSMENTS
The ACTIONED Web site offers assessment tests of up to 100 questions. You can complete the assessments to qualify for certificates of completion and continuing education credits, or to prepare for certification exams.
Most of the assessments on the ACTIONED Web site have a textbook or reference material as a prerequisite to prepare for the assessment. Information on the prerequisite materials for a specific assessment is listed in that item’s catalog description.
